Neighbourhood Watch in Offham

If you have not yet joined Offham NhW you can apply for membership by ringing 01732 843097 and recording your full name and address.
Neighbourhood Watch – the national scheme – has become a way of life as we are all concerned about the number of burglaries, car break-in, telephone and e-mail scams or ‘cold’ callers’.
Offham residents are automatically covered by the scheme and the village Area Co-ordinator is in regular contact with Kent Police HQ, receiving twice-weekly information and warnings of any activities which might affect residents. If relevant this information can be passed on by the village NhW Road Co-ordinators.
The succes of NhW depends on residents being aware of anything causing concern in their neighbourhood. It could be strangers acting suspiciously, unwelcome door-to-door salesmen or bogus callers who cannot provide adequate identification. Offham residents have suffered such instances in the past and it is important that everyone is constantly aware, looking out for their neighbour’s welfare, house and property as well as their own.
If you need to report an incident, the police numbers are:
 9 9 9
to report a crime AS IT IS HAPPENING
1 0 1
Police Community Officers Control to report a crime WHICH HAS ALREADY HAPPENED (theft, vandalism, loss
of property etc.) You will be given a crime number for future reference should further information come to light.
Our Community Police Officers are PCSO Ross McMilland and PCSO Dylan Mcelligott who cover other local villages in addition to Offham. If they are not on duty or are not available if they are dealing with an incident elsewhere, the PCSO’s will be aware daily by computer links of any incidents reported to the Community Officers Control.
