Neighbourhood Watch in Offham

Neighbourhood Watch – the national scheme – has become a way of life as we are all concerned about the number of burglaries, car break-in, telephone and e-mail scams or ‘cold’ callers’.
Offham residents are automatically covered by the scheme and the village Area Co-ordinator is in regular contact with Kent Police HQ, receiving information and warnings of any activities which might affect residents. If relevant this information can be passed on by the village NhW Road Co-ordinators.
The success of NhW depends on residents being aware of anything causing concern in their neighbourhood. It could be strangers acting suspiciously, unwelcome door-to-door salesmen or bogus callers who cannot provide adequate identification. Offham residents have suffered such instances in the past and it is important that everyone is constantly aware, looking out for their neighbours’ welfare, house and property as well as their own.
If you would like more information on neighbourhood watch please contact
Our Community Police Officer is PCSO Wendy Stanley who covers other local villages in addition to Offham. If she is not on duty or is not available if she is dealing with an incident elsewhere, the PCSO will be aware daily by computer links of any incidents reported to the Community Officers Control.
